Education from the ground up
Stage 3 development of the campus consisted of the construction of a two storey classroom block of clay brick veneer, framed walls, reinforced concrete slabs and footings, metal roofing on timber trusses, verandah rafters, framed brick interior partitions, aluminium windows, internal fabricated casework fixtures and fittings and all internal and external services.
The lower level area comprised of some seating and a drink trough. Pathways, fencing, retaining walls and construction of new playing field and carpark were a major part of the external works.
Large crib walls were installed to allow the construction of classroom blocks on different levels, making use of the natural contours of the existing land. Major infrastructure was also undertaken including upgrading of fire, electrical, hydraulic and stormwater services.
